In November, 2011, D-BAT opened a new facility in Rowlett owned and operated by Ryan Bonesio and Dave Alderton.  D-BAT Lakeside is a state of the art baseball and softball training facility covering 14,000 square feet and representing the D-BAT brand with class, friendliness, and accessibility.  Customers have been impressed with the unique design upon the first step inside the facility.  Our glassed parents lounge allows the customer to view the instruction area as soon as they enter the front door.  D-BAT Lakeside isn’t your typical neighborhood batting cage, Lakeside offers much much more:

MEMBERSHIPS: Gold and Platinum memberships are available to customers for a monthly recurring charge.  Memberships provide substantial discounts on lessons, cage rentals, camps, merchandise, and machine hitting.   Memberships apply to individuals named on the card and rates do not apply to teams.

9 INSTRUCTIONAL CAGES: Each cage is 14.5 feet wide with one cage at 16 feet wide.  We have two pitching machine tunnels, (4) 54 ft. hitting instruction tunnels, a 60 ft. dual hitting and pitching instruction tunnel, a 70 ft. dual hitting and pitching instruction tunnel and a 70 ft. pitching instruction tunnel.

SAFE ENVIRONMENT: Lakeside uses a state of the art cabling system to eliminate sagging and to create tension within each tunnel creating a safer experience.  Lakeside has gone above and beyond to cable down side netting and add extra netting to kill ball speed.  Extensive fencing around the entire perimeter of the instructional area is not only cosmetically appealing, it makes the player experience 100% safe.  Lakeside has wide walkways creating a more comfortable and safe environment for players of all ages as well as parents viewing.

PROFESSIONAL INSTRUCTION: We are serious about who we hire to teach the players at D-BAT Lakeside.  We look for instructors that not only understand the proper concepts, philosophy and principals necessary to propel players to the next level but are able to communicate to players of all ages allowing a full benefit from instruction.

PRO SHOP: We have a 1,000 sq. ft. pro shop containing brands such as D-BAT, Rawlings, Easton, DeMarini, Worth, Markwort, Wilson, All-Star and more!  D-BAT is known for having one of the best wood bats on the market and D-BAT Lakeside has a large selection to choose from, including maple, ash and trainers.  Wood bats can be custom ordered in any model with any dip/color combination with name engraving.  We have a wide assortment of BBCOR (-3) metal bats for the high school (and beyond) player as well as senior league bats with the USSSA stamp, legal for all play.  Our pro shop sets us apart from every other batting cage, we offer necessities at your fingertips at competitive prices.

 

VELOCITY PERFORMANCE TRAINING: D-BAT Lakeside houses Velocity with its own workout facility, this partnership is unique as it combines the best baseball instruction and the best sports training in one building. Velocity is the #1 sports performance training in the area, training athletes such as Austin Jackson (Detroit Tigers), Greg McElroy (Jets), Donald Driver (Packers), Vernon Wells (Angels), Christian Ponder (Vikings) and many more professional and collegiate athletes.

CLIMATE CONTROLLED: We are fully air conditioned for the hot summers in Texas and provide a fully heated environment for the few cold months we have during the winter.  At Lakeside you will never have to worry about weather, even rain.

LIGHTING: Lakeside went the extra mile to create a well lit facility allowing players to get the most out of their cage time.  Strategically placed lights were mapped throughout the instructional area eliminating glare and maximizing light distribution.

PARENTS LOUNGE: Our unique parents lounge offers a view of the entire facility from inside, including all instructional area as well as our pro shop.  The lounge offers wi-fi service, comfortable seating, television and quiet environment for work.

BIRTHDAY PARTY ROOM: We offer a private birthday party room for the parents to decorate and the kids to enjoy.  Book a birthday party and you will receive the party room for 2 hours, an instructor for 1 hour, 50 tokens, a gift bag for the birthday boy or girl (valued at $50).
